JIL Warsaw działa od 2016 roku i konstrukcyjnie jest publicznym murem, który został zaadaptowany na potrzeby galerii. Zbudowany z prefabrykowanych elementów betonowych mur ma kształt odwróconej litery "T", podobnie jak mur berliński. Idea tych małych, lokalnych murów została opracowana przez komunistyczną władzę w celu propagowania oficjalnej kultury i ideologii za pomocą plakatów, które były na nich wieszane. W latach 70. w Warszawie było wiele takich konstrukcji, ale obecnie są one rzadkością. JIL stoi na chodniku przy ulicy Brechta 17 i jest jedną z niewielu, które pozostały. Założycielem i kuratorem galerii jest artysta Tomasz Saciłowski, który również mieszka przy Brechta 17. Wystawy są dostępne dla każdego 24/7.
JIL Warsaw has been operating since 2016, and structurally, is a public wall which has been adapted to the needs of a gallery. Built using prefabricated concrete elements, the shape of the wall is an inverted “T”, similar to that of the Berlin Wall. The idea of these small, local walls was developed by the communist authority to propagate official culture and ideology through posters which were hung from them. In the 1970s there were many such structures in Warsaw, but now they are a rarity. JIL stands on the sidewalk at 17 Brechta Street and is one of the few that remains. The founder and curator of the gallery is artist Tomasz Saciłowski, who also lives at 17 Brechta Street. Exhibitions are available 24/7 to everyone.
JIL Warsaw ist seit 2016 aktiv und besteht strukturell aus einer Mauer im öffentlichen Raum, die an die Erfordernisse einer Galerie angepasst wurde. Die aus vorgefertigten Betonelementen errichtete Mauer hat die Form eines umgekehrten "T", ähnlich wie bei der Berliner Mauer. Die Idee dieser kleinen, lokalen Mauern wurde von den kommunistischen Behörden entwickelt, um die offizielle Kultur und Ideologie durch Plakate zu propagieren, die an diesen Mauern aufgehängt wurden. In den 1970er Jahren gab es in Warschau viele solcher Strukturen, aber inzwischen sind sie eine Seltenheit. JIL steht auf dem Bürgersteig in der Brechta-Straße 17 und ist eine der wenigen, die noch existieren. Gründer und Kurator der Galerie ist der Künstler Tomasz Saciłowski, der ebenfalls in der Brechta-Straße 17 wohnt. Die Ausstellungen sind 24/7 öffentlich zugänglich.

Побудована зі збірних бетонних елементів, стіна має форму перевернутої літери «Т», як і Берлінська стіна. Ідея цих невеликих місцевих стін була розроблена комуністичною владою для того, щоб пропагувати офіційну культуру та ідеологію через плакати, які були розвішані на них. У 70-х роках у Варшаві було багато таких споруд, але зараз вони рідкісні. JIL стоїть на тротуарі на вулиці Брехта, 17 і є одним з небагатьох, що залишилися. Засновником і куратором галереї є художник Томаш Сациловський, який також мешкає на вулиці Брехта, 17. Виставки доступні всім бажаючим 24/7.
